Quickstart

New to Wikis? Wikis are collaborative Web sites, in which it's easy to create and edit pages, and in which pages are automatically categorized. Wikis are very useful in the sharing of information, and that's why I have this project section here. Jump in, update any information that is old, add new information, and learn what's changed since you were last here.

It's easy to create pages once you're in your password-protected space.

  1. Navigate to the page you want to link to your new page from. Click the "edit" link to edit the page, and log in if necessary.
  2. Create a link to your new page there. See the links documentation for more details (don't create a new section, or a page from the home page here, thanks). Save the change.
  3. Click on the link you just created. An edit form for a new page opens! Enter your content there. See the text formatting documentation for more information. Save your new page.
  4. To upload and link to a file, just use the syntax Attach:nameoffiletoupload.ext. If you click on the link this creates after saving the page, you'll be able to upload a file. See the Attach documentation for more information.
  5. If you want to add an image somewhere, you can use the Attach: syntax above. So long as the file extension of both the name and the uploaded file are either jpg, gif, or png, you'll automatically get an image shown at that point in the text. See the image documentation for more information.
  6. For more information about the formatting available to you, see the Simple Tables, Advanced Tables, Wiki Styles, and Markup Master Index pages.
  7. All project team members will be updated whenever a change is made. The system waits and watches for multiple changes in a short time, so, don't worry, if you change a page and go back to it and edit it several times, or if you add multiple pages, team members will only get one message with the changes.
  8. Don't forget to add and update your to-dos on the project to-do page using the special to-do form! You can even set to-dos for me! And check the to-dos often, because you won't be e-mailed if the list is updated.
